Puppy Health Guarantee
General Health
I guarantee that the health of each puppy is excellent to the best of my knowledge. The puppy was examined by my licensed veterinarian, and is current on his/her 1st round of vaccinations/worming.
Your puppy's general health is guaranteed for 72 hours after the signed and dated pickup date. To uphold the contract, the buyer must have the puppy examined by his/her licensed vet within these 72 hours and provide proof of vet visit. If the vet finds the puppy unfit for sale during these 72 hours, the puppy may be returned at the buyer’s expense for a full refund. Unfit for sale on account of an injury sustained, or illness contracted after the sale of the puppy does not qualify. Seller must receive a signed copy of the vet exam report on Vet clinic letterhead that clearly states the health concerns, and be provided to Ocean Road Goldendoodles.
If at the initial exam, your veterinarian determines that the puppy has a life-threatening hereditary defect, a statement detailing the diagnosis must be provided to the seller on the veterinarian’s letterhead within 24 hours of the diagnosis. Ocean Road Mini Goldendoodles will either 1) pay directly to the veterinarian for expenses related to the defect up to half the purchase price of the puppy, with the buyer retaining ownership of the puppy or 2) offer a full refund and the seller returns the puppy to Ocean Road Mini Goldendoodles. All other veterinary and transportation expenses are the Buyer’s responsibility, including the return of the puppy to the seller’s home if needed. Ocean Road Mini Goldendoodles reserves the right to have the puppy brought back to our home and examined by a veterinarian of our choice at our expense, (Less Travel expense) before a refund or vet reimbursement will be issued.
This warranty does not include viral illnesses, infections, kennel cough, improper bites (Over OR Under) and/or teeth issues, hernias, heart murmur, hypoglycemia, Giardia or Coccidiosis. It also does not include any illness due to the ingestion of foreign objects, food, chemicals, physical injury or issues whose cause is unknown or may have an environmental link.
This guarantee is non-transferable. If the puppy has been sold, or given away, the health guarantee becomes void. If the puppy has been physically injured or abused in any manner, this guarantee is void.
If the puppy is diagnosed by an OFA (or other accredited certifier) as being severely dysplastic prior to turning 12 months of age, the Buyer must submit a copy of the OFA report to Ocean Road Mini Goldendoodles. A veterinarian cannot make the diagnosis, it can only be made by OFA, Penn Hip, or other accredited hip specialist, and the puppy must be sedated for an accurate radiograph to be taken. It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay for this test. Severe dysplasia implies the puppy will require surgery or will need to be euthanized. In the event OFA, or other accredited certifier determines your puppy as being severely dysplastic prior to one year of age, Ocean Road Mini Goldendoodles, will pay for medical expenses directly to the veterinarian for up to half the purchase price of your puppy. Limited surgery expenses for other vet-identified, proven genetic-based orthopedic problems, such as patella luxation, will be paid directly to the veterinarian up to a maximum of $150.00 per procedure, not to exceed the total purchase price for all procedures combined.
The puppy must be kept current on all vaccinations and annual vet checks, including rabies, flea and tick preventative, and heartworm preventative as directed by your veterinarian. Copies of these vet records, via your vet office are required to be submitted to Ocean Road Goldendoodles in order for the above to be warranted.
Ocean Road Mini Goldendoodles cannot be held liable in regards to your puppy’s adult size, temperament, and the event of any shedding. We do the best we can to advise you as to anticipated adult size based off the parent size.
The Undersigned Buyer has read the above conditions and agrees to abide by ALL of them in order for puppy health guarantee to be valid.
